Miqra Events: Event Details

Hebrew Reading Group

January 7, 2012 - April 21, 2012 • Saturdays, 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.
Registration Deadline: February 24, 2012 (Register Now)

Description

With few exceptions, we will meet weekly on Saturday morning, 8:00-9:30, in the conference room at Scooter's Coffeehouse, 11th & O.

My plan is to spend time in Job, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes this year, beginning in the relatively easy narrative of Job 1 and progressing to harder poetic material. We will adjust our pace as necessary.

All Hebrew students who have completed a one-year basic grammar course are welcome, including those who have been away from the language for a long time or have forgotten most of what they learned.

There is no tuition charge for MIQRA’s reading groups; but with the ongoing challenge of funding the Institute, we are suggesting a “donation” of $100 per reader per semester. Please do not let this be a deterrent to your participating. I won't.

If you know anyone else who may be interested, please pass the word along. If we outgrow our meeting place, we will find another.

Berakot,

Vern
